St John’s Church has various facilities available for use by the local community both in the Church and the separate church hall. We are keen to welcome bookings especially from groups supporting the local community. Due to staffing issues we are unable to to take one-off bookings for the church rooms at the moment but we are still taking enquiries for regular bookings for these spaces via enquiries@stjohnsmoulsham.org.uk. The church hall is still available as normal for one-off hires via hall@stjohnsmoulsham.org.uk.

St John’s Church
Lower Lounge
A flexible space suitable for a range of activities such as meetings. Medium-sized to accommodate up to 30 people (or 50 maximum with some furniture rearrangement), the lounge is set up with a number of cafe tables and comfortable sofas but alternative seats and tables are available. There is a kitchen area equipped with sink, fridge, kettles, and serving area as well as crockery and cutlery.

Main Church
The main church is suitable for larger events and concerts. The seating is theatre style, accommodating 174 people in the main church pews. Additional seating can be utilised in the side chapels, accommodating a further 30 people. There is under-pew heating. The Church is equipped with a grand piano and an organ, which are available upon request.

St. John’s Church Hall
St. John’s Church Hall is situated in Vicarage Road, Chelmsford and is available for hire. Both halls are suitable for a range of activities such as dance classes and exercise groups, and the Main Hall is also available for children’s parties. It has kitchen facilities, toilets, and heating.
